Month and months of planning, brainstorming and exchanging ideas culminated on Monday, August 23, 2004, when St. Margaret's Hospital proudly welcomed its first patient to its brand new Center for Physical Rehab in Peru!
A public open house is scheduled for Saturday, October 23, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Better patient flow and room for additional staff, along with expanded hours and a new Incontinence Program, are all highlighted features of the new Center that will better serve our patients. The new 10,000 square ft. Center at 1400 Midtown Road in Peru will be closer to 50% of our patients who live in the LaSalle County area, and more easily accessible because of its central location and convenient parking.
Gary Kistenfeger, Director of Physical Rehabilitation Services at St. Margaret's, said that the "entire Physical Rehab staff is very excited about taking care of our outpatient rehab clients in a new state-of-the-art facility like this one! Our new location will give us the opportunity to offer comprehensive therapy treatment to our patients in a progressive rehab environment in a convenient location."
