Critical Care

Emergency Department
St. Margaret’s provides Illinois Valley residents with the most up-to-date technology and services 24 hours a day. The Emergency Department staff is trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and current emergency procedures. The Emergency Department can be reached directly at (815) 664-1464.
Cardiology Clinic
Midwest Heart Institute, a group of Peoria-based cardiologists, provide a Cardiology Clinic at St. Margaret’s. This service, like the mobile MRI, eliminates the need to drive a great distance for consultation and follow-up services.  Appointments are made weekly for the clinic. Intensive Care Unit
The Intensive Care Unit at St. Margaret’s includes six private rooms, with staff and equipment designed to meet the needs of cardiac, post-operative and trauma patients. Patients requiring advanced medical monitoring are also treated here. The unit is staffed with nurses trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. To reach the Intensive Care Unit, call (815) 664-1418.
