BOTOX® COSMETIC
Botox® Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that Dr. Norris injects in very small doses with a micro-fine needle into certain muscles of the upper face.
Botox® Cosmetic is FDA approved to temporarily and safely weaken contraction of these muscles, thereby smoothing out lines that make us appear older than we are. The three most commonly treated areas are forehead lines, frown lines and crow’s feet.
Most patients do not require anesthetic and will see treated lines disappear within a few days to two weeks. The results will last three to six months. Bruising can rarely occur, but patients may return to work the same day.
JUVÉDERM® ULTRA XC, ULTRA PLUS XC and VOLUMA XC
Juvéderm® is a clear, injectable, synthetic gel made of cross-linked hyaluronic acid which occurs naturally in our skin and we lose as we age.
Juvéderm® Ultra XC is a dermal filler with lidocaine in it that Dr. Norris carefully injects into areas such as the lips or nasolabial folds. Juvéderm® Ultra Plus XC is a thicker formulation used to restore volume in the face depleted by the effects of aging.
Juvéderm® Voluma XC is the only FDA-approved dermal filler to improve volume loss in the midface from the effects of aging.
The changes that you see immediately will last 6-9 months, and these medications are reversible sooner if necessary. It is normal to have some discomfort and swelling that resolves in a few days.
