Responsibilities:
The Senior Network Administrator is responsible for the overall configuration, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all infrastructure components including but not limited to: routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, storage and services. The Senior Network Administrator provides advanced network support both by phone and in person as well as being the project lead as it relates to all infrastructure projects and changes. The Senior Network Administrator is responsible for ensuring quick problem resolution or escalation to appropriate vendor resources if necessary. The person is responsible for aiding other members of the Information Systems department when appropriate.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or minimum 5 years of experience working with computer networking. Experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
License/Certification Requirements:
Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) is preferred. CISCO Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) is preferred.
Special Requirements:
- Enterprise LAN/WAN experience
- Experience in TCP/IP Network Administration
- Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting Cisco products
- Experience working in an enterprise wireless environment
- Experience managing Storage Area Networks
- Experience installing and maintain Citrix environments, VMware ESX environments
- Experience working a Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange environment and managing Office 365
- Experience working with monitoring and logging toolsets
- Experience in the coordination and leadership of projects, including ensuring proper documentation, testing, implementation and problem resolution
- Strong customer service, written and verbal communication, documentation and telephone skills
- Strong time management, problem solving and prioritization skills
- Ability to meet/complete established goals and tasks with minimal supervision
- Ability to work a flexible schedule in a 24/7 environment is required
- Experience working with vendors for problem resolution
- Must have the ability to develop and document processes and solutions
