Primary Duties:
The CNA, under the supervision of the Nurse, has responsibility for the following: accurately takes vital signs; observes and reports patient response to care; promotes and assures adequate fluid balance; performs specimen collection; provides hygiene and comfort measures; promotes and assures patient activity; promotes and assures adequate nutrition; performs patient care procedures competently; utilizes pertinent equipment and supplies competently; completes all documentation accurately and timely; and promotes and assures patient safety.
The Unit Clerk has responsibility for the following: services as a receptionist in a welcoming manner; assists in answering patient call lights; maintains the chart and all chart forms; performs all required clerical functions; executes accurate order entry and transcription of orders; notifies the Nurse/Charge Nurse of any new or changes physician orders; completes all supply orders; and promotes and assures patient safety.
Qualifications:
High school graduate or GED equivalent. Requires Certified Nurse Assistant and current CPR certification. Also requires working knowledge of medical terminology and experience with computers.
