Scope of Responsibility:
The CNA, under the supervision of the Nurse, has responsibility for the following: accurately takes vital signs; observes and reports patient response to care; promotes and assures adequate fluid balance; performs specimen collection; provides hygiene and comfort measures; promotes and assures patient activity; promotes and assures adequate nutrition; performs patient care procedures competently; utilizes pertinent equipment and supplies competently; completes all documentation accurately and timely; and promotes and assures patient safety. The C.N.A will mentor and precept employees in a respectful manner.
Education Requirements:
High School graduate or GED equivalent required. Certified Nurse Aide Certification required.
